Anji Gopal is an osteopath, senior yoga teacher and corporate wellness speaker who helps senior professionals break free from stress, pain and sedentary habits. A former Barclays Investment Director turned clinician, she brings a rare blend of corporate insight and clinical expertise to her talks.
Drawing on her work as an NHS clinician, osteopath and senior yoga teacher, Anji created an innovative evidence-based yoga intervention for chronic low back pain at UCL (NHS). As founder of the BackCare Foundation, she translates cutting-edge science and therapeutic movement into practical, device-free strategies for everyone.
Her signature topics in workplace wellness include:
- Is Sedentary Behaviour the New Smoking?
- Why Stress Shows Up in the Body Before the Mind (and How to Fix It)
- Workday Health Hacks You Can Do Anywhere – No Devices Needed
Her clients include Nokia, Cisco and The Relationships Service (formerly Relate) and her work has been featured in The Times, The Telegraph and other leading publications.
Anji runs two London clinics and is a health-retreat leader and regular podcast guest. Known for her fun and interactive style, Anji makes the science of the mind–body connection accessible and immediately actionable, leaving audiences inspired and equipped to take charge of their health.
Her work has a focus on prevention and self-care – knowing that it’s cheaper, kinder and less painful to keep everyone OUT of the clinic – and that the tools to do this aren’t complicated. Anji’s favourite theme is Simple Wisdom for Better Health. She is currently working on her first book.
